SF Gate: Stores open early for Windows Vista

January 30, 2007 on 7:53 pm | In Uncategorized |

Gregory Rutchik, founding lawyer of the Arts and Technology Law Group in San Francisco, a small antipiracy law firm, said pirated versions of Vista will probably get reported to Microsoft, won’t get supported, and run the risk of coming loaded with viruses and spyware. “If an online shopper thinks they’re going to buy a computer preloaded with Vista and the price is too good to be true, then it probably is,” Rutchik said. “This would be devastating if you bought a downloaded copy and your data was on your computer that you’re downloading onto. Your data would be fried.”
